What i saw on saturday was an amazing group of lads with really everything to play for....these players with everything that they've been tru really went out there and took it to the Togolese with comanding force. Kalemba was shaky at times but mostly very composed, the Defenders really played well most of the time and big hat off to Ilunga for really acting as the "defender captain" in the absent of Mubiala. Our midfielder really took control of the game expecially with the forward runs of Kinkela and Mbala, Rhoum was the mvp of the game in my mind, mainly due to the fact that this was the first time that i saw him play and now i understand all the fuss from various people on this site about him.. Our Attackers where impacable...Mputu was outstanding and his Goal was a goal of class, a goal which probably sign him a European contract, Lualua for me was the Man Of the Match...altho Zola is mvp but Lualua really played his role as the captain by comanding the team from the 1st minute to the last, he controlled his temper and just kept his mind on the game and the result of that was an assist for the first goal, which really he could of been greedy and took a shot but he unselfishly pass to Mputu. he was totally aware of what was goin on around him and that awareness paid off when he caught the Togolese defenders sleeping to Score a beautiful cracker and a celebration to match, the joy from Lualua's face after he scored was a sign that this CAN means a lot to him and i actually had goosebumps watching the game, so for that and the fact that he actually played very very good makes him my man of the match.... THANK YOU LADS FOR THE JOY AND TEARS.....more to come on Wednesday.

Just couple more hours before our first game at this 25th edition of the African Nations Cup, I'm very excited because its about time that we get our name back into African football.
This year my gut feeling is that we will reach the "summit" kinda like we did in Burkina Faso 8 years ago. That 98 team team really reminds me of this 06 team just because firstly we had all young players not knowed to people outside of the country.
Those players went above and beyond expactations to reach the semi finals just to miss the finals in extra time.
so my predictions for the game is at folow we will beat togo by a score of 2-1.....Good luck lads
